A Small Pilot Step Toward Building a Greener City

For many years, the Deposit Return System (DRS) has been successfully implemented in more than 40 countries across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Africa to encourage communities to collect and recycle used bottles and packaging.

Hue became the first city in Southeast Asia to pilot this model, marking an important milestone in promoting greener lifestyles and sustainable urban development.

This was also when BGroup had the opportunity to support the launch series of the Deposit Return System at the University of Sciences, Hue University, and Nera Garden Apartment Complex.

How Can a New Environmental Initiative Connect More Closely with the Community?

With a model that is still relatively new in Vietnam, the challenge was not simply to organize a launch event, but to communicate its message in a way that was accessible, engaging, and relatable to the community.

Every element needed to work together—from the event space and visual communications to the on-site experience—to help participants better understand the role of the Deposit Return System in building a greener Hue every day.

Spreading the Message of Sustainable Living

For this project, BGroup served as the event organizer, overseeing sound and lighting setup, standee production and printing, program coordination, PG staffing, as well as photography and videography throughout the event series.

The BGroup team coordinated every aspect to ensure that the events were professional and well-executed while maintaining the approachable and positive spirit at the heart of the project.

Beyond event operations, BGroup also aimed to use the project’s visual content and communications to help inspire more sustainable habits and spread the message of green living throughout the local community.

BGroup’s Small Contribution to a Greener Hue, One Step at a Time

For BGroup, the most meaningful part of this project was not simply fulfilling our role as the event organizer, but having the opportunity to contribute to a pioneering community initiative in Hue.

We believe that positive environmental change always begins with small actions. And sometimes, something as simple as returning a used bottle can be the first step toward creating a greener future for the entire community.
